Gabriele is now four and a half weeks post-Whipple procedure and healing well. Last Thursday Gabriele, Suzanne, and I went to an open house at her mephrologist's office. She looked fabulous! (photo below) Her oncologist was there and couldn't believe how good she looked; he said that she looked like she'd come back from the dead.
She is now walking two and a half mile a day and doing yoga and muscle strengthening. She is eating delicious soups specially prepared for her by her private chef, son-in-law Chris; solid foods are not yet tolerated. Gabriele's attitude is amazing as most would expect.
We get a CT scan and bloodwork done Tuesday, and meet with her surgeon on Thursday. We are not sure if he will recommend more chemotherapy before considering resecting the liver metastasis.
